Chime – Franny Billingsley

Despite the simplicity of the story, it is actually a good book.

It is about changing the way you think about yourself because someone wants you to.

It is about big and small sacrifices with good intensions in the background, yet turning out to be catasptrophic.

It is about coexintence – of different people, different cultures and different worlds.

Somehow it is also about children – how easily they are convinced and how deep this convictions sink.

Narrative is mostly over-dramatical, yet fully explained to be so.

Truefully, if not for the amazing, poetical and plenteous language of the author, sotry would be just another YA for the evening read. With the language, it was pleasure.
